spot on justreading, if this deal with CRM hadn't been arranged, the BHP deal may have been more palatable. Even without the options paid out the deal stunk and it also shafted the Chinese. And they pretty much picked the bottom of the IO cycle. Plain stupid, not with the benefit of hindsight either - it was stupid at the time too.
