lol, I'm not the only one trying to talk road sense here. Even if you don't believe that I live 100 km from any city, and 400km from the closest capital city. I learnt to drive in the bush and still do.
One thing I know is that you're a lot safer getting off the road and out of the way, than coming to a dead stop and asking to be wiped out on the road. That was one of the first lessons I ever learnt and it's held me in good stead, saving my life once. If there was no way to get off the road safely in a dangerous situation, I'd put my foot down and keep driving rather than get clobbered.
If two large vehicles managed to get off the road, then surely one little car could have done so.
I have to agree with the MD of the trucking company in this situation
