The next 7 days are pretty clear for our catchment - there is a little bit forecast for upstream but the level may even drop this week - a bit. There is a rain front coming through immediately after that, but it looks like it will pass quickly.
I am in contact with a kayak bloke upstream who has pointed me to some useful monitoring guides. i will get back to him for real time on-the-water assessments as well.

nB, No need to panic, at all imo, It is still very early in our crop season - pre planting - and i am sure risks can be managed and arrangements adjusted on the the ground.
We are farmers and this prime cropping country. The best - and historically this location is not considered high risk, nor are we likely to be existentially threatened even if the worst comes down.
