Landcruiser - a market based system is based on supply and demand but also on the principle of user pays e.g. for clean-up costs. At the moment the clean-up costs are borne by no one but ultimately it will the tax-payer i.e. it will be you and I who will have to clean up the god awful mess. As far as I am concerned the current system is distorted and does not reflect the true market conditions.
