Hi Spekulator,
it probably just comes down to:
- fear of missing out
- empire building, cementing themselves in personally
- egos
- investment bank vested interest influences
We've seen this so many times with takeovers. If you want to learn about this sort of thing Warren Buffett's reasoning is probably the best and clearest imo. WBC now trading above NAB. What a disaster.
