One of the most important aspects to know with any testing of anything to do with a potential ozone/hydroxyl generator is the air humidity. If the device can produce both ozone and hydroxyl free radicals, it will tend towards hydroxyl free radicals in a very humid air environment, and MUST be mostly ozone in a dry air environment. No indication of temperature or humidity for the test.

They could have tested a range of humidities to get a viable results, but no, let's not test the important things. How does it work in 10% humidity or 50% humidity or 100%?? If they only tested in near 100% humidity, it is a useless test as 100% humidity is not a standard occupied space.

The company can't just tweek the settings to produce hydroxyl free radicals in a dry environment!! There needs to be moisture in the air, or a separate source of hydrogen/water (H2O) to make hydroxyl radicals. In dry air the 'spark' of the unit can only create ozone and things like nitrous oxides.

Also what effect will the ozone and or hydroxyl free radicals have on the rest of the air purifier? Things like seals, plastic coated wires etc are greatly affected by free radicals?

IMHO if any OEM was going to include any type of free radical generator into their air purifiers, they would have done so years ago. There are just too many potential problems to bother including such devices, plus there are already a range of both oxone and hydroxyl generators already available in the market, with none making it into any HEPA air purifiers..

BTW pretty impressive results from the HEPA air purifier by itself.
