Current Institutional & Fund long position in AVZ (End-June quarter 2022) is ~610m shares compared with ~375m immediately prior to addition in the ASX200 in the March quarter this year (source: S&P Capital IQ). Even assuming 100% institutional the short position is ~150m. I suspect a dip in SP when we are reinstated is inevitable but my point is that shareholders needn't be alarmed by that as it will be largely driven by the mechanism of financial instruments.
