Thats not how it works.Say a share has fair value 20c, where is has a 20% chance of going to 100c and 80% chance of going to zero.Then an option of strike price 40c for that share would have fair value 20% x (100-40c) = 12c wether listed or unlisted.
Cuz math.Would you be willing to put your hand where your mouth is, and sign a contract with me where I pay you 6c (twice what you think is what theyre worth) per share of yours to have the option to buy them off you for 40c later within two years?
