I guess the nub of the article's argument is that how can China be charged with genocide of the Uyghurs when the Uyghur population has been growing at twice that of the rest of the country.
IMO, its interesting how the US is supporting Uyghurs in western China when it has just finished 3 anti-Muslim wars in the ME.
But I guess the old adage is at play here: "Your enemy's enemy is your friend" eh?
Just because the US has taken up the plight of the Chinese Uyghurs for an independent state does not mean that militant Islam will disappear; just temporarily avoid the US crosshairs.
