I agree with gobris that this was the original geothermal strategy, and, assuming the company does not want to go offshore, it is probably the best way ahead due to lower complexity and cost compared to EGS. It is similar to Strike Energy's geothermal plan in the Perth Basin.
However the release above introduces the possibility of drilling to 5 km and evaluating the potential for an EGS development. I think this is not a good idea due to high cost, high technical complexity, long development time and probably an unimpressive result.
