Have had CXU on my watchlist for a long time but never really looked into it - having read through this forum it appears they have a great asset (and tiny MC) but WA Govt policy prohibits the mining of uranium? (though some projects did go ahead in the past?)
The graphic youve shown is interesting - presumably the reason for AUS being non-nuclear is health/environmental concerns but it shows the UK as 4th largest producer in the world. You can pretty much drive across the UK in a few hours (and a population of ~70 odd million), whereas in Aus clearly you could have power stations far far away from any civilization to largely mitigate risk. Rightly or wrongly, the UK has for quite a long time seen the benefits outweighing the risk.......
Is there any issue with CXU just digging it up and exporting it just like any other resource? (I can only assume sort oh health risk...)
