    Can anyone advise whether converting options resets the CGT clock on how long they have been held? Does this make sense?

    ie, i buy 100,000 ASNOC in April 2022, I convert in October 2022. The 6 months of holding means nothing and i then have to hold the new shares for 1 year from Oct 2022 to Oct 2023 to qualify for the CGT discount
