    >If that’s the case, she needs to assess her own personal financial choices.
The comment was "I cant believe how much I have to pay for childcare it makes it not worth coming to work", which I asked for details on.
So, yeah, that was why we were even discussing it, it's so expensive.. she needs to consider her own personal financial choices.

    >That’s if she even exists
It's possible for unrelated adults to discuss money.

    >The partner of your make belief female friend must be earning 200k a year or more if she’s spending over half of her low paid wage on childcare.

Um, no, not really. I gave you an example not the actual real figures.

But ok "give me a proper example based on realistic figures". Sure.

    Male earns 90k
Female earns 43k (thats my original number because i've already done the figures, $182 per day net).
    Total 133k
    CCS therefore approximately 65%

$140 less 65% of (child care) is $49
Two other children in OSHC at $40 each, less 65% $28
    49 + 28 = 77
    77 is 42% of $182

Every day shes at work "42% of what she gets paid goes to child care".

Now my friend does pay, actually, $140 in total child care and OSHC, but I'm not telling you how much she earns or her partner earns. It's pretty much half her pay. Sure maybe she could pick a cheaper childcare. That's not the point of the story.

"I pay so much why do I go to work".
