    We're agreed then, though the meta sedimentary sequence of the Millungera Basin doesn't appear to go deeper than about 1.5 km... plus it doesn't seem likely that the metamorphosed Millungera Basin sequence will contain significant permeable units... Perhaps deep faults may provide targets, though the absence of active extensional tectonics is not a good sign...

    If GRV or other ASX companies really want to do geothermal I don't see why they don't go to much greener pastures overseas. For example, besides the nearby Pacific projects mentioned previously, I know of a nice project in an EU country, similar to what GRV has in mind, which would target 170 - 200 C from a known highly permeable carbonate sequence about 2.4 km deep (from seismic), with a likely stage 1 ORC plant capacity of about 10 MWe from 2 or 3 production wells. Probability of success would be much higher than anything here.... ah well, I am but a frustrated geo
