So you take a snapshot of the energy mix between 8am and 11 am and put this up as proof the renewable energy transition is working. Sounds legit. How does the mix look for the 16 hours from 4 pm to 8 am daily?
Also doesn't nuclear start to stack up from a cost perspective given the reactor life is typically around 60+ years while the solar panels and windmills need to be replaced every 15 - 20 years and require alternate generation sources for when the wind ain't blowing or the sun ain't shining? Did you allow for the 80 billion dollar upgrade to the transmission network in order to connect the grid to all these renewable energy farms for current demand? Did you include the opportunity cost of lost agricultural production for the vast amounts of prime farm land no longer available for use? What cost did you include for the damage to native flora and fauna as this ugly technology stretches as far as the eye can see? How about the pollution from the landfill as all these panels and turbines need to be replaced every 20 years? You know the landfill from these is both incredibly toxic and carcinogenic right and are not biodegradable so in 100 years these old panels and turbines will be festering away buried somewhere?
If Twitter, Facebook and Youtube are your primary research tools then you are doing it wrong but don't let that stop your crazy. Im sure you will pop up with some further data that is terminally flawed and connect with other like minded fellows. #YOLO.
What is it with climate change evangelicals and their inability to see past their ideology to understand the actual facts?
