Can someone please find and post the official reference by ASX on brokerage free trading for large volumes? It would be nice to put reference their specific text.
By allowing Bot traders to trade in tiny volumes and also benefit from brokerage free trading, the ASX is clearly creating an unfair playing field.
Traditionally, Australia has led the world, per capita in share ownership.
If the ASX wants to argue that the government allowing competition into the market will make Bot trading more prolific, let them set an example and show that they have some ethics and either raise the minimum parcel size, or enforce a brokerage fee on parcels under a certain size.
Otherwise, projecting only a few years forward and there will not too be many individual investors left.
