I followed CTP very closely back then and don't recall anybody proclaiming it was a duster after the first DST. What account name were you posting under, I'll go back and have a look to jog my memory.

I recall Surprise produced approx 90 kbbls before it was shut in, still producing around 90 bopd. As gasoroil said it was trucking costs that killed it, and I suspect the water cut was increasing and that needed to be trucked out too.

90 kbbls oil production in 18 months is not a duster by any stretch. It's not a great well and wouldn't have covered its cost but the well cost was sunk by 2014 so the right decision was to produce it while oil was high.

Here's a question for you, since you seem to have been there for the test. What about that first flow indicated it was going to disappoint? Was it because the well flowed nicely for the EPT, but almost as soon as they commenced production, they suddenly got water cut? Or did they just see depletion? I remember I dropped to about half of what the EPT flow rare was as soon as they started production but I never found out why.
