Think, wherever you have warlords, the religion is generally extreme Sharia, not normal Islam. Mogadishu, Somalia, Taliban controlled Afghanistan,etc. Normal interest (just being alone with) in women can get you killed. And the women have to be covered up, so you are denied any visual pleasure...towards women, anyway. But I've never heard of anyone being stoned to death for saying :"Wow! look at the humps on that camel!" or "look at the movements on that dancing-boy". Cultural, mate.
