On that reckoning the very recent Morgan face to face Poll shows over 60% would not give their primary vote to ABBOTT as the Coalitions primary vote dropped to 37% and more importantly both the Morgan Poll and the Newspoll reflect Labor in front on a two party preferred basis.
The Opposition has failed to make up any leeway on the 2007 election result and while Rudds very high 60% preferred PM status has fallen to 55% it is still over double Abbotts dismal 27%. Those are the polling facts and I have no doubt that the Liberals will be pondering whether the changes they have made to their leadership group was the right move.
