Quick question that I cannot ask where I should be able to get an informed answer..
Does anyone know what progress has been made on AVL's electrolyte plant?
I have spent 15 minutes trying to find ANY references to construction, and all I could find were the dozen articles from Sep 2021 when the contract was awarded to Primero. And with 15 minutes searching, I could only find two single mentions of the project after that date... Both mentions were in recent articles about the $49mil government grant, where both articles said vanadium from the mine would feed the electrolyte plant (quote) "currently being constructed" at Kwinana.
Short of trying google maps to see if satelite images show any progress (I couldn't find the address of the site to actually look), does anyone follow AVL or the vanadium story closely enough to have seen any other updates?
I'm asking out of genuine curiosity and not to shed a negative light on AVL, just simply I would have expected a twitter image of foundations being laid or just something. I would like to know how things are progressing in this space as a whole, and this plant was a milestone announcement for VRFB's in Australia, but literally nothing since..
and obviously on the TMT note, Vlyte and LE Systems might have an opportunity here.
