    Hey Apprjojo,

You are correct, going down the chloride path to begin with is a much simpler process flowsheet, that carries a reduced technical risk for the company. It lowers CAPEX and OPEX of the project as HOOPZ modelled earlier.

You don't need to build a carbonate plant, you don't need the reagents that are utilised in the carbonation + crystallisation processes, you don't need the full supporting infrastructure + power etc to run the plant and the 30% contingency is only on what is required.

The Capex for a standalone Chloride Project would be near the ~US$250m. OPEX would be in the Low-Mid US$2,000/t range aswell

The advantage that Galan has in comparison with our Brine Peers is that we can produce a high grade (+60,000ppm or 6% Li) Chloride with relatively low levels of magnesium and sulfate.

A High Grade Chloride solution can be obtained simply by extracting brine from the aquifer, adding in a number of chemical reagents and passing it through a serious of ponds. Letting the sun do the rest of the work. The company then scoops out the dried up salt from the final pond, bags it up and sends it off to our customer who will complete the final carbonation step
