It's possible that they knew it was absolute gold and trusted it would be in better/more profitable hands with ig6. i think they are dragging out the suspension and deal to allow ig6 to gain traction based off of stellar results. this would also give them time to freeze the deal for Mt Margaret and keep things paused until they are in a better capital.position due to ig6's growth.

The more I think about it all, the more this all makes sense.
