I agree , averaging down is never a good idea unless you know something the market doesn't.
Looking back , the average return- growth+ dividend- of CDA shares over the past 5 years has been a tad over 25% per annum- not too shabby.
Personally, I still regret not converting a lot more of my CDA holding to cash more back in 2021, if I did that I'd be buying back in now.
