I'm hardly an industry professional, I'm only in my mid 20's haha. But I'm happy to share a little information. Everything I mention is information you can easily find online, but it's still interesting. I would need to do further research to formally define the smaller SWISH AOI but I'll discuss the larger prolific shale play in Oklahoma, US and Northern Territory, AUS.

The Anadarko Basin (SWISH AOI) holds one of the most prolific natural gas reserves in North America, where rocks from Cambrian through Permian age fill the basin. The basin is bound on the south by the Wichita-Amarillo uplift, on the east by the Nemaha uplift, on the north by the Central Kansas uplift, and on the west by the Las Animas arch. Gas production can be in excess of 100 trillion cubic feet (2,800 km3).

In comparison, the Beetaloo Sub-Basin is relatively underexplored. The basin is of Proteozoic age. Shale gas plays are present within the middle Velkerri formation with 3 shale intervals informally named A, B & C. These shales are highly prospective with enormous gas volumes. For instance, in 2017 Origin Energy reported TCF estimate of 85 trillion cubic feet. Keep in mind this is only a part of the whole shale gas play. From recent research I have done with an industry partner I can tell you that overall TCF is a lot lot higher.

I could go into a lot more detail but I just want to keep it simple for everyone. The Beetaloo sub-basin potential is absolutely enormous. If all you care about is gas volume and thus sales, then start exploring in Australia
