They have better deals/discounts and connections with merchants. And as far as I'm aware can be used everywhere a debit card can be - where have you had difficulty using Zip?
I also think the Zip app and the way everything operates is far better than most bank apps, and banks have a terrible reputation for a reason.
Zip also helps you build rewards etc over time I believe, which can then be used for further discounts/money back etc.
