So NHC's share price has basically got back to its previous record high, reached in Nov., 2011.
However, that's where the similarities end.
In 2011, the company:
1.) produced around 6.0mtpa of saleable coal; today it sells ~9.0m tpa (50% more than in 2011)
2.) reported Revenue of $1.2bn, today Revenue is $2.6bn (220% higher)
3.) reported NPAT of $147m; today NPAT is $983m (670% higher)
4.) generated EPS of 16.1c; today EPS is 118 cps (733% higher)
5.) declared DPS of 20cps (5c ordinary and 15cps special); today it declared DPS of 56c (31c ordinary, 25cps special) (+280% higher)
Moreover, in 2011 the coal price - a record at the time - was US$125/t; today it is close to US$440/t
Not just that, but in 2011 the A$ was at around 1.07 to the US$; today, it is 0.67
Meaning that A$ coal price is today around A$650/t, which is 550% higher than the ~A$120/t in 2011.
