Jesus wept these guys were in a war zone. What does the ABC hope to achieve? Will the ABC shock us with the news that our troops were actually prepared to kill enemy combatants. What sort of dialogue did the ABC hope to find? Something like: OK GUYS IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE AN ENEMY COMBATANT LINED UP IN YOUR SIGHTS WHY NOT TRY A MORE DIPLOMATIC APPROACH....INVITE THE ENEMY COMBATANT TO THINK ABOUT HIS FUTURE.

I agree with you. Now just don't complain if one if your family gets killed by Afghan soldiers coming to Australia and meet kill quotas OK?
