History has shown especially back in the 80's as interest rates started getting out of hand the stockmarket and gold soared along with those rate rises. I hope this happens again.
Actually revisiting the charts back in the early 80's i may have told a bit of a fib, it appears the markets did not soar and i apologize for giving false hope. But i can tell u between 2003 and 2008 when US interest rates rose from barely 0 to 5 percent, the US stock market did rise from around 13000 to 19000 so there is hope the markets can start rising with the interest rate rises, but remember we have never had so much debt as we do now, but then again Warren Buffet has always said debt is not a problem as long as GDP rises etc.
