in my limited understanding of short selling one thing i cant get a grip on is this.
the lender of the stock getting shorted is either taking a punt on the fact that the market will correct the downtrend and correct the stockprice, or making a killing one the lending fees.or both
other than this where is the motivation to lend a stock to someone to short?
