The problem I find with greenies at times is they can't connect dots, like exactly how are fertilsers are made and EVs - refer embedded post again.

Ultimately economics decides a project, and what blockers are put in place that result in higher capex than otherwise would be the case as it feeds through to viability studies.

Scaremongering at its worst here. Ultimately the UK has to make a choice - import energy dependent or they can produce their own energy knowing risks are apparent in production like there are in open cut and typical underground mining operations more generally..
