Management need shareholders to believe that BIT isn't an all in bet on the HIV results next year so they want to keep the illusion of the covid program alive. Its 99.999% certain they will ask shareholders for money and they will be worried that some may think twice about putting their hands in their pockets if it becomes obvious that everything hinges on a commercial deal after these next HIV results are in.
Shareholders were led to believe a commercial deal was imminent when the 2018 HIV results came out. Four years on not a cracker. Fortunately they did a CR immediately before those results were released in 2018. Had they asked for money 6 months after the results when no commercial deal appeared, what would have happened?
So will they be stupid enough to hold off on doing the CR until after the 010 and 011 results are in this time? That would be an all in bet. If a commercial deal didn't then happen who in the right mind would then put in more cash? What then?
