Well, Zip, there are many homes (big luxury homes) around me successfully operating off grid with solar and batteries, so that indicates that tech is fine for residential, at least. As for using the term 'CC' I used it as a generalization upon which there are many adverse inputs and causes. But that aside, I firmly believe it is human induced - adding excess quantities of harmful gases into the atmosphere is no man's friend. To say it doesn't is like telling a smoker of 50 cigarettes a day that it will do him/her no harm IMO. As for the modelling/opinion that we can still stop catastrophic CC is naive IMO, given even if we stopped doing what we're doing tomorrow it would take 100/200 years to reverse the damage. But that doesn't mean we should stop making a concerted effort - the first steps in a thousand mile journey, and all that jazz.
