maths does not apply here as the cos are not independent of each other. it's not rolling a dice and trying for a 6. If the first horizon does not have enough gas because the source rock didn't produce enough then that clearly reduces the chance in the other horizons. If it's a duster because the seal is broken, then maybe the seal is not broken in other horizons and it's all good. We won't know until each horizon is tested but those coming in on the assumption that's this is a near certainty (ie 85% chance) are deluded. not even the pump kings at next investors are claiming this
