1. I reckon the first thing for all investors to do is to watch one's own wallet. Remember that's your own money, not mine or anyone elses. (Just as I said repeatedly to a guy in the FEA discussions not long ago).

2. I don't think discussions in HC would affect GNS share price by an iota. GNS announcements and media reports have an audience many thousand times bigger than the HC.

3. I am a just an amateur investor as you. I am not a Green or of any environmental or political groups at all. And I don't think I am spending more time and energy on GNS than yours.

4. I bought GNS shares about 10 years ago at $1.80 per share (cum $0.30 special dividend) well before the 1:4 split. I also bought many other plantation shares later on. (Thank God, I sold them a long time ago!) Since that time I have been watching these shares closely, so I do think I might have a deeper knowledge of them than a new shareholder of just a few months or weeks.

5. During my investment career (albeit as an amateur), I gained a lot of help from HC members, and I feel I am obliged also to help HC members with my best knowledge in return and let them avoid losses if possible.

6. I also have a group of friends/colleagues/acquaintances who unfortunately lost their fortunes in MIS plantations and shares. I feel I am also obliged to prevent more innocent people being caught by the same trap.

7. If you think that GNS has a big amount of "off balance sheet forestry assets in a separate entity", then you should write to GNS to let it publicize the hidden assets, shouldn't you?

8. If the SMH journo was all wrong, why didn't you just phone GNS last Friday and let them make an announcement to rebut that fellow in the same day? Instead of just bashing him in HC?
