If ever there was a case for ignoring the experts, today's Tsunami proclamation was one.

The fact that a 7 ft wave in Chile didn't become a monster wave here, like a movie reenaction was hardly a surprise. Doesn't energy dissipate as it spreads and extends etc!

The more disturbing aspect was that we were told not to take boats out, while in Hawaii they were told to take boats out to avoid any wave action. Eh!

Gives you great confidence in the "experts" doesn't it?

And yes, apply it to the economists and RBA and government in general. Of course they will always have an anwser in 20:20 hindsight to their flawed and self interested views.
