All depends where you are buying I guess.

Helensvale was listed as the worst performing suburb in QLD I think..

Units in Surfers / Broadbeach not doing so well, bit to much supply I think.

Dry blocks in central suburbs have done well the past 12 months... broadbeach waters, mermaid waters, etc

I picked up one property in nov 08 when everyone was panicking.. similar properties now selling for 15 - 20% more.

Not bad for 16 months... Where else can I get gearing at such a high ratio, make a hundred grand with very little of my own money?

Then again, having large amount of debt is not for the faint hearted..
