There are MANY errors with the PFS.
A few posters here try to keep highlighting these, which gets absorbed by the forum, then the PLL fan club appear and start it ALL over again.
These include-
- Cost/tonne
- Total yearly Production tonnage and throughput
- Production recovery rates
- PLL SYAQ production costs
- ROM ore stockpile management figures, strip ratio and therefore total tonnage
And that diagram keeps coming up, which I have corrected to the reality of what will happen next year.
Still great EBITDA for both parties.
UNKNOWNS- Piedmont fixed price SC6 to Tesla deal???? Probably between 400-800/tonne.....from North Carolina...if it gets up...
And THE BIG ISSUE with the PFS, is they state after 2 years, we will revert to market rates for the offtake, when they openly state in the PFS they are pursuing downstream refining, with timelines in other announcements showing 2024.
How are they making that assumption?
Something is going on......
And if they are making that assumption....should they not plug in carbonate figures after 2 years???
The PFS has LOM figures to a +- 30% accuracy........enough contingency to estimate carbonate production.
So after 2 years, should the PFS not reflect CARBONATE PRODUCTION and the revenues and margins that come with this?
I mean, if that's the plan, then that's the plan.....with or without PLL. we give them their half, and we refine ours to carbonate...
They are very vague about this....... by design...its all just TOO quiet....I will let you figure that out....
I will leave you with this thought-
If the PLL offtake continues for LOM, SYA still make good EBITDA from NAL (US$435.5 million without carbonate) and are profitable until Moblan and the northern hub begin to produce BIG revenue, 2025+
If the PLL offtake somehow is quashed and they don't realise the revenues from NAL they are expecting, will they be able to fund their plans??
Going to the extreme, will they survive??? NAL and SYAQ is the lifeline.....one they cannot jeopardise or afford to loose.
Billions are at stake here.....worth fighting for.....
Hypothetically-
As SB has eluded to....If SYA, JV with POSCO.....and form a New compnay- SAYOSCO....
Where does that leave the PLL offtake...when Sayona does not exist as the 75% parent of SYAQ???
All very hypothetical....
Can PLL afford to play hardball and take that risk???
