NSW is ploughing more cash into critical minerals including cobalt, lithium and titanium in efforts to speed up the pace and scale of production of metals vital for batteries, high-tech manufacturing and the renewable energy sector.Despite the price of coal storming to historic highs, the NSW government is encouraging investment in the transition to critical minerals and high-tech metals with a $130 million initiative providing grants of up to $10 million.Miners and explorers will have access to grants between $2 million and $10 million to build infrastructure that will help get critical minerals to market quicker and more efficiently. This includes investment in road upgrades, haulage modifications, new processing facilities or water and power upgrades to speed up the rate of supply.
