is 1 trillion tonnes realistic?

    Hi All,

    I've been doing my research on CTP and I thought I would look up how much 1 trillion tonnes of coal actually is. According to the US Energy Information Administration, the world has coal reserves of about 840 gigatons. A gigaton is about 1 billion tonnes, which would mean that CTP has as much coal as the estimated reserves of the entire world.

    Are my calculations correct?
