bit off topic - there is a big difference between being available and being available cheap
price is market dictated and OPEC are keeping oil price tight
around the world countries I think have been switching to a fair degree from oil to gas for a while so demand is high for that too .

LNG more expensive to transport than piped gas
Russia piping gas to Europe was a win/win for both buyer and seller 'til russia assumed that it would give them enough clout to get away with invading Ukraine
Big loss for Europe which wll eventualy be replaced by renewables
Huge loss for russia which can never be retrieved
