It's not so much a government now as it is a gang of thugs conducting a smash & grab looting of the treasury on their way out.
For all the gullible masochistic stupidity of the "working class Tory voter", I think the British media is largely to blame, who massacred Ed Milliband for the way he ate a bacon sandwich while giving the Tories a free pass as they crashed the economy into the ground. As bad as News Corpse is here, the UK's Right-wing media cabal is much more vicious.
