    Heh, if that's the point he was trying to make then next time he should just hire you to make it for him.

    The answer that was provided to that argument earlier was that more than half of Australian households have more than two cars. Not many of them go on long road trips with both cars, and not many households do drives like that on a regular basis.

    Most two car households in Australia are likely better off financially in terms of TCO if they make one of those cars an EV right now, using that for city driving.

    In the future, with upcoming range improvements to batteries that equation is going to change - I would conservatively estimate a 4x range increase to EVs by 2030, but wouldn't be surprised by an 8x range increase.
