re: somethings up...???? Lots of possibilities...

Can't really see any bad one's though.

The word "discovery" was used, which indicates they have found something...unless of course, they have "discovered" that there is no oil in the western flank...LOL...

    Don't think so!

They would easily have reached total depth over the weekend, unless they found something higher and had to pull out of hole to conduct a test?

Just speculation, but I suspect either they have found an additional "pay" zone in one of the higher levels, or may have simply found a thicker and more porous showgrounds sandstone than originally prognosed. If so, either of these scenarios would result in a substantial upgrade of known reserves.

Another possibility is they have intercepted a large fracture or "cavity", from which they would be able to get dream flow rates...this would be the best result and might help explain any difficulties they might be having obtaining readings and the subsequent delay in news!

A flow rate of only 1200 barrels per day will initially give EPE about 1000 barrels per day production...until cost are recovered and they move back to 50%. Flow rates of 3000+ barrels per day are not out of the question with the right down-hole conditions.

Infustructure is close by, so any production will quickly find it's way to market.

    Cheers!
