Lay off the copium, the Russian elite troops and officer corps have been eviscerated. They have lost huge quantities of equipment and gone through vast amounts of shells and missiles. Sheer numbers won’t change the outcome when they are poorly lead, are barely trained, and are armed with rusty rifles and lacking modern equipment. The endless bluffing and reassurances that Russia will turn the corner ‘any moment now’ got tiresome months ago.
