    for a peripatetic engineer you put a question with so many variables as to disable any sensible guess in answer.

    the local hoons here do donuts and burnouts so badly they often limp home on exploded tyres. they'd be lucky to get 500km out of a set of rubbers.

    and then there's th ultra soft tyres that come with new VWs that wear out in only 40,000km, with soft, 'normal' driving..... my m/cycle rubber usually gets better than than with hard riding.

    Pirelli P7s lasted 100,000km on my former Peugeot 407 which I used for touring comfortably.

    so which trees are you using to measure the difference? --- I don't think the little moke is very very likely comparison either. hahahe... but an interesting story all the same
