    Perhaps things to consider:

    Excerpt:

...generally, electric cars weigh considerably more than otherwise similar gasoline-powered vehicles. Take the GMC Hummer EV, for instance. The Edition 1 version, which has lots of batteries for additional driving range and power, weighs over 9,000 pounds. That’s roughly three times the weight of a Honda Civic.

The Ford F-150 Lightning will weigh about 1,600 pounds more than a similar gas-powered F-150 truck. Similarly, the electric Volvo XC40 Recharge weighs about 1,000 pounds more than a gas-powered Volvo XC40.

    And

Petrol delivers a large amount of force for a small amount of fuel, which ultimately means ICE vehicles are lighter, and thus require less energy to move around.

Worth bearing in mind that if one compares range - an EV will weigh more if range is longer - the battery will be heavier. Then this:

...there’s also one rather large elephant in the room – the hauling and towing capabilities of EV trucks. In terms of how much they can tow and haul, trucks like the Ford F-150 Lightning are plenty capable, but the question is, how far can they go with all that weight loaded up?

The Ford F-150 Lightning used 0.7 kWh while towing and managed to go 90 miles before TFLT pulled into an Electrify America charging station for a “fill up,” though they did not run it completely out of charge before doing so.

A mere 90 miles then a period of charging time depending on the type of charging. Batteries would need to at least double in capacity to get decent mileage prior to needing a recharge - for that to happen, the weight of the vehicle would increase further and so would the cost of the vehicle.

    Rubbish you say?? rolleyes.png
