The SA government has set up ambitions to open up the Braemer corridor and targeted 50mil tons iron ore export by 2030. They even set up a $10bil budget to assist their ambitions.
To have Hawsons project as the very 1st project of very substantial scale of 20mtpa to realize their ambitions is like winning a jackpot for SA government. It is dream comes true for SA. They will do everything to see Hawsons project getting into production.
Plus, it is Flinders Port who will fund, build, and operate the port, not the SA government.
The benefits to SA economy is bigger than the benefits to Hawsons. So, it is in SA's interest to do whatever to support Hawsons. Already Hawsons is talking to landholders along the pipeline corridor. Things are moving nicely.
