Cornelious, unfortunately Macs don't officially support IRESS as it utilises scripts which don't run well under the Mac version of Java. It runs under OSX and Firefox, but it's glitchy so I don't trust it.
I use parallels running windows XP for IRESS and it works flawlessly. Doesn't slow my computer down, and integrates really well with the rest of OSX.
