There are three excellent books to read in trading.

"Reminiscences of a stock operator" by Jesse Livermore, perhaps the greatest trader in history.
"How to make money in stocks" by William O'neil.
"Trade like a stock market wizard" by Mark Minervini.

All three cover the exact same principles of using price action and volume to determine entry points. This means listening to the market and not some adviser, as price action is the ultimate truth in a stock.
However, Minervini sums it up succinctly so I would start there.
Fundamental analysis is crucial, but as explained by all three authors everything you need to know is in the chart.
Volume and price action is the most important piece of information when assessing supply and demand.
Livermore traded markets late 19th century when markets were using ticker tape and a chalk board, however as noted by O'Neil the same behavior is exhibited time and time again in the market even 100 years later. It has to as human behavior never changes.
It's identifying this behavior (accumulation / distribution, price breakouts) which will set you apart from the average traders.
My advice is to read everything on the above and then read them again.
