I shar your view on speculation / manipulation, but do not complain about it.

I am clear in that I cannot beat the big guys / professionals in the trading game and do not trade. BUT my strategy is to beat them over the medium to Long term.

My investment philosophy is to identify companies with good prospects going forwatrd and then buy on the dips / lows where tarders are shorting. I accumulate large stakes in this way and have the patience to wait 2-3 years for a good return.
